Five years and 200+ clients, then every day in planning.

Day to day

Tools built where planners lost the most time, alongside five years of freelance data and automation work.

  • Ran the daily shortage report and the monthly export plan, both workbooks I built or rebuilt.
  • Kept the capacity model and plan-versus-actual tracking up to date.
  • Cleaned and merged SAP extracts with Stores and logistics data every day.

How it runs

  1. Find the repeatWatch where the same preparation happens every day or month.
  2. One inputMove entry into one validated place, with drop-downs and rules.
  3. Automate the logicFormulas, VBA or Power Query do the counting and matching.
  4. Hand overTest, train the planners and document known limits.

What I know

How I built it

Five years of freelance work alongside study and employment: more than 200 international clients on Fiverr and direct, from a single formula fix to operational systems with hundreds of lines of VBA, admin controls and custom interfaces. Then I used it every day as a planner.

Formulas I use, by job

Lookups

XLOOKUPINDEX/MATCHVLOOKUP

Pulling SAP extracts, stock and ETAs together by part number.

Conditional maths

Requirements, shortages and plan-versus-actual by model, lot or day.

Dates & calendars

WORKDAY.INTLNETWORKDAYS.INTLEOMONTHWEEKNUM

Working-day calendars, holidays and capacity by day type.

Dynamic arrays

Live shortage lists and schedules that resize themselves.

Logic & clean-up

What I build

Planning models

Formula-driven calendars and capacity models: every date classified, its hours and overtime rules applied, rolled up to month and year, with scenario tables on top.

Structured inputs

One validated input sheet in place of many copies: drop-downs, data validation, named ranges and error flags that catch lot-size mismatches before they spread.

Data consolidation

Power Query to merge SAP extracts, Stores and logistics data into one view, including a ~500 MB file beyond Excel’s worksheet limit.

VBA automation

Macros that do the daily counting and matching: the shortage model across about 1,100 parts, and a 500+ line sales planning system.

Reporting

PivotTables, KPI dashboards and plan-versus-actual tracking that planners and managers can read at a glance.

Google Sheets & Apps Script

The same thinking where a team works in the browser: a mobile inventory system and shared trackers with scripted updates.

What I improved

Planning should turn complexity into action.
